Senior Sergeant Group: Members Posts: 221 Member No.: 800 Joined: 04 Mar 2012	The Ministry of Defence is the ministry of the Government of Singapore responsible for the protection of Singapore from all assailants, in the policy of Total Defence in five specific areas: Military Defence Civil Defence Economic Defence Social Defence Psychological Defence MISSION:To enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor. Two Key Points to the protection of Singapore in the Twenty-First Century, as outlined by Defending Singapore In The 21st Century: Strengthen dialogue, confidence-building and co-operation in the region and beyond Strengthen Total Defence Active Professional Personnel: 31,800 Active National Servicemen: 39,800 Reserve Personnel: 350,000 The Singapore Armed Forces is the military arm of the Ministry of Defence, responsible mainly for the Military Defence of the Total Defence Policy, with some other areas of Total Defence also being accounted for by the Armed Forces. The Republic of Singapore Armed Forces protects the foreign interests, territorial integrity, and internal and external military security for the Republic of Singapore. The Armed Forces rely heavily on several items to perpetuate the Armed Forces and to keep them exceedingly strong and able in light of advancing time and new threats: National Servicemen (conscripts) Force-Multiplying Equipment Exceptional Training and Officer Education Strong International Defence Ties The Singapore Armed Forces strive to be the most advanced and professional military force in the Region, Hemisphere, and World in order to aptly and easily protect the Republic from all external harm. -------------------- �Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: �God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
