President Jacob Juma announced today a massive naval build up starting with the construction of 8 Valour class frigates. There Is also ongoing talks with the French to expand the nation amphibious capacity. The reasoon for this buildup?Jacob zuma speaking to Congress said "The recent Spartly islands conflict has fought me and I dare say the world the importance of naval superority and naval dominance. This is most important for our own nation because of our importgeogance in African politics and our important Geographic position."
