Vietnam, you're not getting anywhere near those islands, much less going to be able to build a whole artificial island. As I specified in a past news post, I increased submarine patrols around the Spratly area, and I already control that island. Attempting to land there will net you a war and a blockade.

Personally I think a paragraph or two should be the minimum when making a news post.
Anything less and you are posting for the sake of posting. A bit of effort wont kill people. Or will it? I guess people should try and see what happens. happy.gif

Anyway, I'm thinking of doing something with or to(preferably to) Fiji, with this whole restoring dictatorship thing and disposing of the military leader.
They've defied the hand that feeds them long enough. shakefist.gif user posted image

I more meant a floating fishing base. there is no island to control and the water is too shallow for subs.

It's fishermen landing, not military. Feel free to go and arrest them.

There's nothing to respond to. Your news post was literally just two lines, which demonstrates rather clearly to me that you're neither willing to put effort into writing up a news post nor willing to do research on your actions beforehand. I'm not going to respond to you until you do something more plausible.

Sure the water directly around the rocks is shallow, but it's an enormous goddamn ocean. I would have intercepted you long before you even got within sight range of the rocks.

Sorry, sort of short of time right now to write long posts right now, Should have more time in the next few days.

What would you call more plausible? I'm not sure. Maybe if you intercepted them it could cause a diplomatic incident?

Oh yeah sure, if you simply announced that my submarines intercepted your fishing vessels in an area that you considered yours, I'd have something to respond to and we could have a diplomatic incident over that. It could involve any reasonable number of fishing vessels and submarines [i.e. don't say >4 of either] and you'd have to send me a message first, otherwise I'd just detain them indefinitely. But interception would be a good idea.

I was finishing up writing a news post, and accidentally clicked X and lost it all.

I'm fine with that, it needs to be quite a few fishing boats to create a bigger incident.

I would like to call an emergency meeting of ASEAN Defense Ministers to discuss the current situation with China but am not quite sure on how to go about it as it would require some NPC play.

You can post in the help thread regarding assistance for NPCs. I for one can play an NPC if you would like?

The Philippine Government has filed an official protest with the Chinese Ambassador demanding an explanation for the unprovoked attack

I'd be interpreting that as the Philippines believing, or knowing, it doesn't have a very strong claim over that territory, since if it was an attack or technically an invasion as that news post suggests, you would expect a military retaliation at least against those Chinese forces that landed, or the Philippines military moving to occupy other islands in dispute.

China doesn't have control of all the islands just quite yet tongue.gif. Stok hasn't replied to my posts as Malaysia in the Pilothouse and nothing's happened with the Philippines either.

I havent read through the entire RP, but it would be phenomenally outrageous if China attacked Taiwanese held islands, given the obligation that the US would have to defend them.

Only one or two islands/reefs are occupied by Taiwan, out of 45 or so that have human presence. And I believe he specifically said he was leaving Taiwan be.

However, India doesn't officially recognize Taiwan, so I officially see those as already being Chinese anyway. So, if this was directed at my news posts, to use a famous quote: there's no "there" there.

That really won't matter when China controls every other island, islet, and reef in the area.

lol it's bad enough we've been tortured with images of Abbott in his speedos, I don't think I need to create vivid images of Hockey getting it on.
