No, why should i? Just because i love it and i could make it benefit me? Btw i still have the maps for the spread of fallout if Iran got nuked...sending them over to you.

Now why would I ever do something like that.

Germany might write a really strongly worded statement about that.

-Wars/Warfare-

Civil War in Syria, Civil War in Cyprus, Baltic states begin purchasing more arms to defend against Russia, Arab Spring protests turn bloody.

-Technology-

First synthetic neuron created, U.S. forces find a cloning lab deep in Iraq initially set up by Hussein for the purposes of human cloning to grow his population, hacker shuts off power to (Insert City) in (Insert Country)

-Economy-

Italy Recovers, Italy Collapses, repeat those for every European state.

With Syria would we have to assume that Assad put the current uprisings down and in the two and a half in game years since, the Free Syrian Army has either reorganised and re-equipped with foreign funding inside Turkey or wherever and is ready to have another go? The same with the Arab Spring, in game it's been over two years, would they still be going on?

Likewise with the economies, and I can appreciate something I think Schwer said there going through the European crisis every round must be getting boring for you long time players. With barely any European states claimed who would rp those countries that aren't involved? Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Ireland by 2013/4 are going to be very different.

Something to stimulate activity would be good, I kinda thought the China-Taiwan thing a few weeks ago might do it but nothing happened, then the latest China-Taiwan thing, but aside from OOC nothing seems to be happening until China responds. The Egypt-Israel thing looked like it might also spark activity but seems to have run out of steam now.

If we had an Argentina I'd have a rerun of the Falklands in Q2 2014 and then not be able to retake them leading to huge discontent in the UK. If the Event Mods would ok it I'll write it all, I'm perfectly prepared to lose and cede them because that is the current view of most of the retired service heads.

We need a damn war, not some trivial BS that peters out a conflict. Really, any more stimulation of China is pointless whilst Taiwan is more active than China. Where is AaronH?

I'm writing several events that could spur along possible wars in Belarus, Cuba and East Asia. :]

If you don't have an actual event suggestion, just don't post.
No idea where AaronH is. He's not posted, but obviously has signed on.

Falklands is so overdone, even a different scenario goes down to the basic principles we have seen in the last few years, they somehow had the Democratic Republic of the Congo fighting in it during the last round and the one before that, when I was Argentina, each navy had three or four carriers down there. The only real case where you would need to do it is if there is an active Argentina player who does not have anyone else in South America to really do stuff with but doesn't want to switch. Britain has so much more that could be done.

Also those Heads of Service letters are more of a political manoeuvre than a tactical one, they know the Falklands strikes a nerve so try an abuse it. I would strongly doubt that Argentina has the balls or capacity to attempt an invasion (even if that's how Kircher was elected), Mount Pleasant 's armed to the teeth down there, it took a force of Army and Marine conscripts considerably larger than what is available now to secure the island against only a company of marines in 1982, now there is a battalion of considerably better equipped Guardsmen, the RAF Regiment, helicopters, Typhoons, a much better trained FIDF and permanently deployed frigate/destroyer and submarine.

Zodiac is given permission to work with anyone who is actually interested in sports crap to forecast the outcomes of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2014 Winter Olympics (being that you're Canadian to my understanding, this is probably what you're really getting at I imagine). I will not accept any results that exclude the US from the Group of 16 and fails to do well in that match...extra points if the US gets into the quarterfinals.

I was considering starting a sports thread early on in my appointment, then decided against it as nobody would be interested. Still, I'm interested in simulating major multinational football, rugby union and road cycling competitions.

Also, Bugs, biggrin.gif

Do I need an event for the oil/gas exploration that I have tried to push over the past few weeks? If so, I found this excellent map that shows where oil and gas have shown up with limited exploration. It also defines the exploration blocks. As well, this map from one of the active participants shows that Kenya may have similar geological formations like those in the Sudanese oil fields and those for the Ugandan oil field.
