Allow me to skip the formalities. The situation in Syria continues to spiral out of control. I know this concerns you. The situation in Syria threatens the entire region; violence could very easily spill over into Turkey. Indeed, one could argue that it already has after the loss of one of your jets.

We believe that it may be time to look at more proactive solutions than what we have thus far done. Turkey would logically be part of those solutions -- indeed, one of the most important players. How might we help build the coalition necessary to resolve the crises in Syria?

I agree. A meeting is necessary.

Perhaps we ought to meet in Ankara. I am currently in the process of touring the greater Mediterranean Basin. Indeed, you will find this message comes to you from our Embassy in Moscow. It would be a great deal easier for me to visit you in Ankara than for you to wait until I return to Beijing.

(Why don't you make the thread?)
