Title: Philippine Navy Ship Modernization Program
Description: Open to All

Philippines [Dwight] - June 8, 2009 03:35 AM (GMT)
The Philippine Navy Ship Acquisition and Modernization Program

The Philippine Navy Flag Officer in Command, Vice Admiral Ferdinand Golez, announces that the Philippine Navy are looking for modern ships that they can use. The ship classes that we're looking are Frigates, Destroyers, Corvettes and if possible Cruisers.

We're looking for any defense contractors and countries who might be selling their old ships (70s/80s era) that can still be used by our navy. Modernization will also be done to this ships to increase it's capabilities. Any countries and defense contractors can show their ships available for selling here.

Germany [Schwerpunkt] - June 8, 2009 04:12 AM (GMT)
D185 Luetjens was commissioned in 1969 and decommissioned in 2003. Presently, she is awaiting sale to be scrapped. The vessel displaces 4,720 tonnes, has an effective range of 4,500km, can reach 33 knots at full steam, and sports a variety of weaponry. The vessel will need to be refitted with a new engine, and be re-equipped with weaponry. This, combied with transporting the vessel to the Philippines, will cost approximately $300 million. The vessel can be delivered by the end of November, 2010.

Greece [TheOne] - June 8, 2009 04:37 AM (GMT)
Elefsis Shipyards would like to offer the Roussen Class FACM. The Roussen is a small, yet powerful and versatile fast attack missile boat. It would be extremely suitable to the region of the Philippines with it's many islands. While we understand the Phillipines is looking for used vessels, this is a rather new class of ship and no about-to-be retired, or retired vessels exist. Such an addition to the Philippine navy would be a tremendous boost for security. It is a well armed ship for it's size packing a powerful punch.

To Germany

The Philippine Navy sees this ship as a new addition to our fleet. The cost is just right for a DDG like this, which includes refitting and deliveries. We would like to see how many of these class of ships are still available.

We would like to see the costs of the attack missile boat and also the fast patrol boats you have offered us.

To Germany

Ok. We would like to see if possible to buy the production rights of this ship in order to be produced in our country. And also if possible, with the help of German engineers which they know how to assemble this ship.

The Federal Republic can hardly sell rights to the various arms and munitions on the Luetjens-class, but we can work with the Philippines to help design a better and more effective vessel. Luerssen would be interested in such a venture.

Greece [TheOne] - June 8, 2009 04:12 PM (GMT)
The cost of the missile attack boat is 92 million a piece.
The cost of the patrol boats, is as follows; Protector 29 15 million, Guardian 53 9 million, Panther 74 MKI 6 million, and Panther 57 MKII 7 million.

The Republic of Korea Navy is currently considering the retirement of 11 Chamsuri class patrol vessels. Vessels of this class are currently serving as the Tomas Batillo class in the Philippine Navy. We would be willing to sell these vessels to the Philippine Navy for $1 US dollar per vessel.

We would review your offer of a joint project for a new ship of the Philippines, but we will sure that the D185 Luetjens will be the one we will take by 2010.

The price is symbolic.

Philippines [Dwight] - June 9, 2009 05:51 AM (GMT)

I meant if only one Spruce class destroyers are available for sale. Or are there more Spruce class destroyers available to be sold??

Greece [TheOne] - June 23, 2009 10:03 AM (GMT)
Elefsis Marine SA

Elefsis Marine SA firstly wishes to advise the Philippine government that Elefsis Shipyards has completed a merger with another shipyard, MotoMarine, and will now be known as Elefsis Marine SA. This poses no danger to the contract awarded to Elefsis Shipyard, as the new entity is obligated to first complete all existing orders, ensuring existing customers contracts are met.
The payment method(straight out payment) is accepted. The first two ships will be laid down by the end of the year, with delivery to follow at the start of 2011 of both ships, with third and fourth ships being laid down at the start of 2011 and delivered by the start of 2012, with the fifth and final patrol boat to be laid down at the start of 2012 and delivered by the end of 2012.
(ooc: You should allow for 6 to 12 months for sea trials of each boat btw)
