Greetings,

On behalf of the Spanish Government, I would like to formally invite you to the upcoming Greater European Prosperity Summit, to be held in Madrid. At this Summit, nations from both Europe and the international community will gather to explore expansionary solutions to the European sovereign debt crisis, and will seek to create a common stance to stabilize growth throughout the world. Europe is at the core of this crisis, but it will will take an international effort to stop this slowdown before the rest of the world is affected even more.

Regards,

Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Luis de Guindos, Minister of Economy and Competitiveness
Cristobal Montoro, Minister of Finance and Public Administrations

To:Senator Bob Carr, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth of Australia
From: Guido Westerwelle, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Germany

In light of the recent declaration of a new economic bloc in Southern Europe lead from Madrid with the pointed omission of Germany it has fallen to Berlin once again to seek partners for the European Union. Despite outward appearances there will most likely be strong investment opportunities in the Eurozone shortly upon the close of the current summit and this would be a subject which I would be interested in opening a discussion with you regarding.

Due to the important nature of the Australian economy in regional and international affairs alongside the growing nature of Australian exports of raw materials it is important that the Federal Republic in light of recent occurrences in the domestic sphere work towards the building of important trade links. As two developed and strong economies with differing specialities it seems that the development of a joint strategic economic relationship would be uniquely suitable between our two states. With the Federal Republic willing to share investment and trade opportunities as well as technological sharing if desired we would be intrigued by your response.

Warm Regards,

Guido Westerwelle,
Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Federal Republic of Germany

United Kingdom (TheOne) - July 25, 2012 08:35 PM (GMT)
To: Trade Minister, Craig Emerson MP
From: Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon. George Osborne MP

The Commonwealth of Australia and The United Kingdom share a bond and relationship unlike most. A similar, even common culture exists, that has allowed many thousands of Australian's to relocate to the United Kingdom to work, and like wise, many thousands of British nationals to relocate to Australia for employment.
However, despite these close historical, cultural and social bonds, our economic ties are, at best, insignificant at present.
Australian exports account for a mere 0.6% of the United Kingdoms imports, and Australia's imports account for a mere 1.6% of the United Kingdoms exports.
In the current global economic climate, with the debt ravaged EuroZone facing significant challenges which have brought it to the brink, with the United States facing enormous fiscal challenges, and indeed we too face our own challenges, I believe that expanding the exclusive relationship that our two nations share via expanding our trade, is of utmost importance.
It would be a pleasure to travel to Canberra, to meet with you to discuss how this can best be achieved.

Regards,
George Osborne

To: Bob Carr, Foreign Minister
From: Koichiro Gemba, Minister of Foreign Affairs

This second decade of the 21st century promises new strategic challenges for all the states of Asia and Oceania, in light of the stagnation of economic growth in America and Europe, the ever-shifting roles of various emerging powers, and the potentially fierce competition between neighbors for natural resources.

I believe Australia and Japan have both symmetry and asymmetry between them which can be mutually beneficial under the uncertain skies of the present and near-future. I cordially invite you to Tokyo to discuss the furthering of a political and economic strategic relationship between Japan and Australia which can focus both our efforts for short-term good and forge a lasting, long-term partnership.

Sincerely,

Koichiro Gemba

From: Guido Westerwelle, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Germany

We are grateful for your response in regards to our query but are saddened to point out that the attending of the so called Madrid 'Summit' will not allow for any discussion between Australia and Germany. The meeting of financially irresponsible nations was formulated to exclude any nation currently out of favour with the Spanish press, seemingly to garner Rajoy election support. However once many nations Madrid hoped would attend in Madrid shunning the larger portion of the EU pointed out that without the missing nations, namely the Federal Republic, the meeting was fallacy a hasty and insincere official apology was tendered in the hopes of securing German blessing for German ostracism from the financial decision process within Europe.

This has lead to the meeting effectively being made up of the lesser part of Europe in cooperation with former strong economic friends of the Federal Republic in what seems to be an attempt to undermine the possibility of international monetary support for new economic support measures within the EU. Due to this we are forced to offer you the option of agreeing to the Spanish vision of Europe split along arbitrary and press-fuelled lines or the more encompassing vision of unity agreed upon in the official EU summit.

We await your agreement to meeting in Berlin.

Warm Regards,

Guido Westerwelle,
Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Federal Republic of Germany

To: Tony Abbot, Australia
From: Sprent Dabwido, Nauru

Mr Prime Minister,

Firstly may I congratulate you on your recent electoral result, I hope this will blossom a new period of great relations between our states.

I cannot express in words the delight of the people of Nauru that Australia will be returning to our humble island and we eagerly await the opening of the detention centre. As per the plans outlined previously preparations for its renovation are already underway through my infrastructure bodies and will shortly be receiving support from your bodies. Preparations for the employment of locals is being made, it is our hope that alongside the one hundred individuals directly employed several hundred others will be able to assist in reconstruction and many others will be available to assist in areas such as food supply and in the supporting industries. Our Airline is expected to increase its Brisbane service to meet demands and may look at additional services to other cities if required. We again hope that Australia will support our domestic airline in supplying Nauru.

I hope you will be able to visit Nauru in the near future to address this issue and others of mutual concern and to see our good work in action.

Regards;

President Dabwido

To: Minister Turnbull, Commonwealth of Australia (?)
From: Minister Sun, People's Republic of China

Today, China is Australia's single most important trading partner. Despite this intensive economic cooperation, political relations lag. I believe this would be a good time to commit to a bilateral meeting in an attempt to remedy the damage done to bilateral relations by the deployment of American military personnel to Australia. We do not believe this setback -- and, in the eyes of both Beijing and Jakarta it is indeed a setback -- should compromise our otherwise superb economic ties.

I would very much like to visit Canberra and move on to building bridges.

To: Tony Abbot MP
From: The Office of the President, Mitt Romney

Dear sir(s),

The Pacific has become a place of restrained, unpublicized strife since recent discussions with the Peoples’ Republic of China, and the United States has come upon information that could prove destabilizing to the region as a whole should it not be properly dealt with. In order to correctly maintain safety, security, and stability to the region, I invite representatives of your government to a summit in Honolulu, Hawai’i in order to discuss the creation of a defense framework in which we can join together in mutual security.

I urge you to attend even if your nation has no wish to further military cooperation in the region, for much discussion can be made and much information dispelled, regardless.

Signed,
For Mitt Romney
President of the
United States of America

United States (ChrisRev) - September 17, 2012 07:28 PM (GMT)
QUOTE
To: The Hon. Stephen Smith MP, Minister for Defence - Australia.
From: John Lehman, Secretary of Defense - United States of America.

Dear sir(s),

The United States is growing concerned that the increasing availability of fifth generation combat aircraft being marketed by the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China may adversely affect the abilities of the allies of the United States to ensure air supremacy in the future.  As a result, President Romney is contemplating overturning the Obey Amendment which will permit the sale of the F-22 to close allies of the United States, however before taking this decision we must identify the potential market for such sales.

The current unit cost for export will be $230million per aircraft which, while steep, would guarantee the Royal Australian Air Force the most capable air dominance platform in existence.  When coupled with the Next Generation Air Dominance Missiles which will become available at the turn of the decade, the F-22 will offer unparalleled capabilities.

In the event that this decision is taken, would Australia be interested in ordering these aircraft and if so, roughly in what numbers would you order.

Signed,
John Lehman,
SecDef,
United States of America
