Title: Pilothouse OOC

Fish - July 19, 2012 09:33 PM (GMT)
OOC discussions and comments about conflicts. Please do not plan wars or similar in this thread, direct it to the appropriate topic in the Staging Area.

Realism/feasibility complaints can be directed here but should be substantial enough for the player to reasonably respond to, i.e. not just ‘your planes cannot do that’ specify things like, that is out of your range you would need tankers etc.

Africa explodes in the 3...2...1...

Really, soy? Really?

I'm guess that that guy has been Uganda's head of state for longer than you've been alive. The very least you can do is give him a reasonable send-off. Especially since handwaving shit through tends to prompt me to go hunt down my bright red "VETO" stamp.

K, I'll get it fixed

Syria (Bugs) - July 25, 2012 01:00 AM (GMT)
LMAO

Cuba (Montaigne) - July 25, 2012 01:21 AM (GMT)
Africa isn't the only place that'll be exploding in some way or another...just you wait.

Libya (Hubris) - July 25, 2012 01:52 AM (GMT)
Yeah, been working in .docx mode for "Blood of the Tyrants"; Mini-internal RP involving ex-Regime members at large/in captivity/Prologue into asshole militia brigades not wanting to disband nor join the new Military. (Libya's Muslim Brotherhood may or may not be responsible for this covertly).

Also, of course, I need to work on then release what Libya's military even is at this point plus some purchases.

Oh the humanity.

Also, I forgot - gonna be a daddy. Yay, my ever expanding empire.

Namibia (Max) - July 25, 2012 01:55 AM (GMT)
Congradulations! 21c goes onward to a new generation!

Congratulations! I hope you've enjoyed the sleep that you've had up to this point. :P

China (Schwerpunkt) - July 25, 2012 02:26 AM (GMT)
Hubris should let us name his kid.

ogawd, the names would probably be terrible.

Spain (MTTezla) - July 25, 2012 02:32 AM (GMT)
As long as the middle name is "wait for it...", then I'm OK with whatever.

Japan (X) - July 25, 2012 06:14 AM (GMT)
Fish, what the hell is that supposed to be?

Australia (Fish) - July 25, 2012 06:46 AM (GMT)
Placeholder image for internal roleplay thread. Clearing a few things up about what to expect from Australia.

Japan (X) - July 25, 2012 07:10 AM (GMT)
OK. I was questioning your sanity for a moment there.

No worries, then. Carry on. :)

Australia (Fish) - July 25, 2012 08:37 AM (GMT)
Anyone that has been to Australia lately will find it an accurate representation.

Libya (Hubris) - July 25, 2012 11:47 AM (GMT)
Boy - Gabriel Michael
Girl - Evey Athena

My name is Joseph Michael (Liberator, yeah... my surname, it rocks) thus the whole Michael for the boy thing I guess. (Grandpa is Michael, father is Derik Michael, you get the point) then my mother's name is Athena. Fiancee thought of Evey, I thought of Gabriel, blah blah.

Though I'm open for some funny suggestions.

Also, I'll be sleeping like an angle until February 3rd.

Anyway...

School till 9 30, work, then two hours of reprieve. MUST. POST. SOMETHING. THEN.

Obviously the boy's name should be Muammar Guddafi.

Libya (Hubris) - July 25, 2012 12:40 PM (GMT)
Muammar Gaddafi Liberator

Most feared asshole, second only to me.

Namibia (Max) - July 25, 2012 02:04 PM (GMT)
My vote is for, or a combination of: Nixon, Richard, Milhouse.

Chile (Historian) - July 25, 2012 02:28 PM (GMT)
Middle names are overrated.

If he was Milhouse Richard Nixon, do you think Watergate would have occurred?

Just asking, because we don't want the little one organising any break-ins to the Democratic Party Headquarters. It's so... '70s.

Namibia (Max) - July 25, 2012 05:18 PM (GMT)
I don't know, but I am a big fan of cover bands. Some things in the 70s can and should be brought back. ;)

My family has the same Michael middle name thing as well. My other is Ling which leads to a whole lot of confusion, myself being perfectly anglo-saxon.

Congrats! I myself have a boy and a girl. William and Lillian.

Alright so what combination of keyboard buttons makes your thousand word post go poof before you finish? I was so damn close to finally having a respectable Syrian civil war started and poof... :(

China (Schwerpunkt) - August 9, 2012 05:02 AM (GMT)
Dunno, but Ctrl+Z is undo.

Maybe Control+W. It's been the culprit of a few lost posts for me.

Australia (Fish) - August 9, 2012 06:03 AM (GMT)
Ctrl-alt-delete?

China (Schwerpunkt) - August 9, 2012 06:48 AM (GMT)
Ctrl+W just closes the tab. Ctrl+Shift+T (or History -> Recently Closed Tabs) will restore the last tab open. The text of your post ought to be saved in cache. This may be Firefox-specific, however.

Japan (X) - August 9, 2012 07:02 AM (GMT)
I'm on chrome, just tested it, and you're right.

Must be something else then. Strange.

Australia (Fish) - August 9, 2012 07:04 AM (GMT)
I see, you type direct into browser. I just use MS Word then C&P, at least if that crashes there is the emergency back up.

Japan (X) - August 9, 2012 07:12 AM (GMT)
I do for some posts. If its an internal story-type thing, or military related they're usually hammered out in series, and thus stored on MS Word.

On the other hand, news and foreign affairs stuff is almost always seat-of-my-pants in browser. Normally, I find when I try to write a lot for those it just ends up being long-winded, confusing, and bad. So there's no real point.

Syria (Bugs) - August 9, 2012 03:35 PM (GMT)
I think it's Ctrl+Z. Damn laptop. Who puts that shit so close together?

And yeah, I mostly type into the browser. I feel like it's an unnecessary hassle to open up a word doc most of the time. I can't sit down and pound out an entire story, have to write it in chunks. Maybe I'll change my ways.

India (Amzi) - August 11, 2012 04:02 PM (GMT)
Wonderfully written post in Insanity Hour, NCM.

Algeria (Aummonia) - August 12, 2012 01:46 AM (GMT)
I really enjoy Cuba's story line at the moment, making me jealous of my own story line.

Iraq (Intrepid) - August 22, 2012 08:56 PM (GMT)
Wait, what Cloud? An indigenous reactor? Good luck fielding that before 2030 or so. Also, there's nothing that's going to make the West more nervous than trying to build your own reactor when they would be happy to sell you better ones. Why? Because the facilities you need, oddly enough, are the exact same ones that Iran has made in order to build a nuclear bomb.

United States (X) - August 22, 2012 08:58 PM (GMT)
Except we sold those to Iran, too :P

Algeria (Aummonia) - August 24, 2012 01:34 AM (GMT)

Well, there's also Israel. Israel has this thing for bombing nuclear reactors.

Iraq would know.
